Hold Data in the Workflow ?

Hello all:
 
Has anyone ever investigated the feasibility of using the ABAP Program Object
TRDIR and an 'Execute Program' event to trigger a workflow which could track the
use of all programs in a system?  Or, is there any other way to monitor the
frequency of use of custom ABAP's??
