problem with instance-coupling...

Hi Michael,

at first some information. It is right that you need a type-coupling also
for your instance-couplings. The type-coupling containes the modules to be
called when the event is created. The instance-coupling itself containes the
different object-keys.
To enter a type-coupling for your instance-couplings in 4.6C, you have to
use TA SWE3 (instance-couplings). Do not enter this coupling in TA SWE2
("real" type-couplings). Before 4.6C, this type-coupling has been entered in
SWE2 but the flag "global" has been to be deactivated.

In general, the workflow-system enters your event-couplings so you don't
have to care. Your background-task seems to create a new activity. Therefore
there is no key for your activity inserted in your event-coupling (the key
is not known before executing the task). Your event will only terminate the
task, if the event is triggered within the execution of the background-step
that creates the activity. In this case, there are some context-information
to terminate the corresponding workitem.

Subject: problem with instance-coupling...

hello workflowers!

i'm trying to activate the standard-workflow for application-handling in
46c.
besides others there is a problem with ending events for a background-step.
the
background-step should be ended when the event ACTIVITY.CREATED is risen.
but in
the table for instance-coupling the is no key stored. i cant understand
this,
because the key can be seen in the event log!

the type-coupling is (hopefully) ok. i chose ACTIVITY/CREATED/nr.of the
single-step/SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT (doku said, that type-coupling has to be
enabled as well)

for the instance-coupling i chose ACTIVITY/CREATED/WORKITEM/
SWW_WI_COMP_EVENT_RECEIVE

i tested the following: if i add the missing object-key in the table i can
correctly stop the background-step with simply raising the appropriate
event. so
something must be correct...

is this an error or didnt i see the whole picture?

every hint is highly appreciated
michael
