Role resolution

Hi,
 
   I need some information onruntime role resolution.
 
   I am testing the SAP standard trip approval workflow
WS2000050 with a user and supervisor. I did create the user and
supervisor, and triggered the workflow as user. The work flow
gets stuck at the approve travel request step, requiring a role
resolution for role 00000168 ( Manager (US)). The binding
container has value 'workflow initiator'. What else I need to
define for the user or manager. The org unit and positions are
assigned for both user and manager.
 
   Am I missing anything, any help will be appreciated.
