Unable to reserve work item

Hi Michael,
The thing to remember is that "refresh org environment" whether you do it
from SWUS
or from the inbox only refreshes the org environment of the CURRENT user -
i.e. if someone
else has a problem they have to do the refresh while they are logged on as
themselves.

So you refreshing the org environment from SWUS doesn't make any difference
to the
agent unless you are the agent!

Thanks folks,
That was it - refresh org environment. I usually do a refresh from the start
task (SWUS) screen, but obviously that only does half a job.
It's been driving me nuts, but thanks for all your input!
Cheers
Michae;

Hi Michael

1. Have you refreshed the organisational environment of the user? Inbox -->
Workflow Inbox --> edit --> refresh org. environment.

2. Check whether the standard task has been locked for execution and whether
the radio button General forwarding not allowed is set. For this go to the
agent assignment of the standard task and select the button 'Attributes'.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Unable to reserve work item

G'day folks,
I hope someone can assist me with this one I've had once before and it drove
me nuts, now again with a decision task:

Agent is defined, item arrives in users inbox, but as soon as he tries to
reserve or execute it, SAP comes back with:
Work item 0000001234: User WHOME cannot reserve the work item
This is on the test system and I've tried just about everything. The user
cannot even forward the item.

Things I've checked:
Agent assignment - yep, he's a possible AND selected agent of task AND
workflow.
I've checked whether any authorizations failed - nothing. (Even given test
user SAP_ALL/SAP_NEW)
No exclusions exist.

The agent assignment is via a role and that works correctly as it gets to
the correct users inbox.....
The last time I just transported it & it worked fine in the production
system as my test user was not part of the productive w/flow. No problems.
Lastly, we're on 4.0B.

Any ionput would be appreciated.
TIA
