Werner,
 
no, unfortunately, there is no way to access a single line of a multiline
container element just by using a container operation. This is available =
in
par-for-each steps via a dataflow definition only. Since you didn't menti=
on
much about the workflow you're designing, it might be worth thinking abou=
t a
"programmed" dataflow (via function module): If e.g. you want to input a
single line into a method call (single-step task), the programmed dataflo=
w
achieves this goal quite easily and performs very well at runtime. The
(always very slow) alternative is to call a method in background a extrac=
t
the single line. I recommend thinking about your problem and trying to se=
t
up a programmed dataflow somehow. Maybe, you can describe your problem a
little further.
