Workflow Issues in 4.6B

We have recently upgraded our Development System to 4.6B from 3.1I. When I
started testing the Material Master Workflow in 4.6B system, I found that
two instances of the workflow are triggered. I checked the Event Log and
found that two events ( Material Created ) were triggered. I want to know if
anyone else had faced a similar situation and what could be the potential
solution for this.
