Workitem message upon logon

this is a user exit in the logon program that was used. the code was
published on this list ages ago, maybe someone still has it lying around..

hi everyone:
 
i just came back from a customer site where they had a pretty nice feature
under 4.0b.
 
whenever you logged on to the sap system, there was a little message box
coming up that told you how many workitems you had in your inbox ("you have
n workitems in your inbox"). i have seen a similar message for unread
sapoffice mails before, but not for workitems. unfortunately, the customer
didn't remember how this was set up.
 
i assume it is an sap standard.
 
can anyone help ?
