Customer Master Creation Event

Does anyone have any information on how to trigger a workflow for Sold-to
Customer Master creation.  Object KNA1 has no events.  We are currently on 3.1H,
but will be upgrading to 4.6B later this year.  I have checked the 4.6B system
and object KNA1 does not have events coded in this version either.
