"confirm" button kicks me out

There is no short dump occuring in the system that I could find linked
to this problem.
 
The problem that I described happens when executing the workitems from
my SAPGUI inbox, not from the web.  I haven't tried to get the workflow
working on the web yet- we want to get it working on the GUI first.  It
couldn't be an ITS error, if we're not accessing the workitem on the
web, could it?
 
There are no error messages on the system that I can find related to the
problem, and I can't debug the problem (the session logs off before the
debugger can start).
 
Do you have any other ideas?
