Initiate event via change document

Since a change document is not written at create time, another possibil=
ity
is the underused Business
 Transaction Event functionality (OPEN FI Interface), transaction FIBF.=

See if SAP provides an event at
Billing Document create time.

you are all right,

stupid me that I forget to activate the checkbox to enter the event in =
SWEC
(thanks stephan).

however, the event for created hasn't been created. An event for a cust=
omer
billing is only raised if the billing is canceled (which in fact is a
change
of the existing billing). An entry in table cdhdr is made but only for =
the
change indicator U (update) and not I (insert). It seems to be of no ef=
fect
that I activated in SWED the radio button for writing the change docume=
nt
at
"create".

I will try like Myra proposed via message control.

Here's an other way which was published on this list some time ago. Per=
haps
Kishore or Jennie are still on the list. I've got two questions:
1. Did you put in the name of the event to be raised in the function mo=
dule
"VERKBELEG_WRITE_DOKUMENT"?
2. Did you put the funktion module in a user exit of SD?

Jennie,
I have tried to do this before.  This is what I have found out.
When you create a custom change document object, you have to do the
following to make it trigger an event:

   Generate an Update program (SCDO)
   A Function module in the form 'Z_OBJECT'_WRITE_DOCUMENT
   Call this update program in the application from where you want to
   create the change document.  You can see how this is implemented by
   looking at where used list of active change document object function=

   modules ex: ERKBELEG_WRITE_DOCUMENT.
   This should create the change document and trigger the event linked =
to
   it in SCDO.

You also need to verify that a change document is actually being create=
d
for the Customer Billing
Document.  You can do this by looking at the CDHDR and CDPOS tables.  I=
f
SAP does not write out a
 change document than activating the event will not work.

Klaus,

Enter the changedocument and the objecttype in TA SWEC. Acitvate the
checkbox in front of your new entry after this and continue entering th=
e
event-name. This should help.

I'm on 4.6b and trie to get the event "created" for object BUS2037
(Customer

1. I created my subtyp ZBUS2037, implemented the event "created" and ma=

2. I found change document object type FAKTBELEG in SCDO for billings i=

3. I went to SWED, inserted FAKTBELEG with leading table VBRK and I mar=

that I want the event generated for "create" records.
4. In SWEC I made the entry FAKTBELEG, BUS2037, and with F4 help I choo=
se
the event CREATED. I mark the radiobutton "create" and as soon I'm savi=
ng
the entry for event is deleted and the checked radio button jumps from
create to change???

Do I miss something?
Did anybody go another way to get BUS2037.CREATED?
