Send mail task

Use object type SELFITEM with method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION.
 
For assigning an initial value to element AddressStrings, you can specify an
Outlook SMTP address. Specify "U" for the TypeID.

Hi,
 
I'm trying to use the 'send mail' task to send an e-mail to MS outlook - not
to the SAP inbox in Outlook.  I've inserted the e-mail address but it's not
appearing in the persons Outlook inbox.  I've looked at the workitem
selection and the workflow has been set to complete.  Has anyone used that
task?  I would really appreciate some advice.
