Beginner salsa lessons begin next week!!!  

For advanced beginners, MIT Salsa will be teaching advanced beginner Bachata dancing.  Advanced beginner salsa lessons begin the week after. 

Monday's Beginner Lesson Information: SALSA BEGINS THIS WEEK!
Beginners are welcome; no experience or partner necessary.
The first half hour of the lesson (7-7:30) introduces new dancers to
salsa. In this half hour, you will learn the basic steps, the basic right
turn and the cross-body lead. From 7:30-8:30 we will be teaching new
material. All students already familiar with the basics should arrive to
class at 7:30 to learn new material.

Tuesday's Advanced Beginner Lesson Information: BACHATA THIS WEEK!
7:00PM - 8:30PM (followed by social dancing).  Advanced beginner 
dancers should feel very comfortable with the basics of salsa 
dancing, such as timing, the cross-body lead and inside/outside 
turns.

2.) Thanks to All Winter Gala Volunteers!

Special thanks to all of the volunteers that came together for last Saturday's event.  The Winter Gala was the biggest MIT Salsa dancing event in history, with 600 people in attendance. Everyone came together and produced an amazing night of dancing for Greater Boston.

Mambos was chosen as the best of 2008 by Local.com's readers, reviewers and editors.  Thanks to all of Greater Boston's great salsa instructors, Mambos' DJs and staff, and all of the dancers that made it happen! 

This Week: 

On the first floor, MIT Salsa will be teaching an intro to salsa AND merengue dancing this week.  These lessons are always fun for beginners and you'll learn enough in one hour to keep you dancing all night long! No partner or experience necessary.  **Please try to arrive early for the beginners lessons to guarantee yourself a good spot in the circle.  The lessons are filling up in the first half hour.  

On the second floor, Mambos is pleased to have Noche Latina Dance Co. in the house this Friday night.  A very fun and informative lesson led by NLDC director Hedwige Louis.  He's one of the best in the area, and taking lessons with him is like learning from a buddy in your living room.  Down-to-earth and friendly, Hedwige and NLDC will be at Mambos this Friday to share some of his cool moves and styling!

All lessons begin at 9:30pm.  Free with admission, no partner necessary.

5.) Private Lesson Information.

Private lessons are a fun and affordable way to learn salsa dancing  quickly. The private lesson setting allows each dancer the opportunity to address his or her own needs directly to a teacher. 

Private lessons are available for solo dancers, for couples and for groups up to 5--all for the same price. 

Currently taught at MIT!
Lessons are currently available Mondays thru Thursdays.  No Fridays.  Lessons are available on Saturdays and Sundays for higher rates.  
New Rates:
Weekdays: $40 per hour
Weekends: $60 per hour
