1. MIT Salsa Club's Bachata Lessons are ON Next Week!
MIT's Annual Workshops continue next week with the following:
*****Both Lessons Held in Morss Hall, Walker Memorial Building, 7pm - 8:30pm.
Monday, January 19: Introduction to Bachata Dancing!
Make sure to wear deodorant and chew those breath mints, you're all gonna get close. MITSC will be teaching you the basics of bachata dancing, including timing, the basic steps, and basic turns. Taught in Morss Hall, Walker Memorial Building.
Tuesday, January 20: Advanced Beginner Bachata Dancing!
All dancers should have a firm grasp of the basics of bachata dancing. MITSC will lead you through a smooth combination, without sacrificing the sensuality of the dance to too much technical maneuvering. Taught in Morss Hall, Walker Memorial Building.
2.) MIT Salsa's Winter Gala, this Saturday, January 17th!
ALL VOLUNTEERS: You will receive an email tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon with an online sign-up sheet for the time you'd like to volunteer. If you can come early, between 6 and 8, we need some volunteers to help with decorations. We have TONS of stuff to put up.
MIT's Winter Salsa Gala. This party is the last of MIT's salsa socials before the big Annual Social in late May.
We recommend dressing to impress. However, we're leaving it up to you to interpret how you do this. Wear whatever you feel good/look good in. And also...wear something you won't feel bad sweating in.
Beginner and advanced beginner salsa lessons will be taught before the dance floor opens to social dancing.
All proceeds will go towards purchasing new sound equipment for MITSC's weekly lessons and events.
