3.) Salsa Lessons After MIT Salsa Club...

Where do you go for salsa lessons after MIT Salsa????

This Saturday, MIT Salsa will be hosting its final salsa event at MIT. For the evening, Chris has arranged for 3 different instructors to teach 3 different salsa lessons. Each instructor will be demonstrating their teaching methods and their unique styles for all students attending their lessons. It will be a great way for you to introduce yourself to new instructors.

Here are the three instructors that are teaching this Saturday:

A.) Salsa Matei: Teaching Beginner Level Salsa at the Event this Saturday!
(Website http://www.salsamatei.com/)

(From Matei's Website):

"Footwork, combinations, and spinning are a great way to show off your talents, but without the rhythm and body isolation to go with them, you’ll lack the control necessary to give your dancing that style and flair that drove you to salsa in the first place. Many instructors will focus on steps and combinations only. If you’ve seen beginners in clubs doing advanced steps off-beat and with stiff backs, then you know what I’m talking about

In my classes, we not only learn how to move to the beat, but how to ‘hear’ the music, isolate motion in your body, feel the connection with your partner, and send all the right signals make your salsa come to life. We learn some awesome patterns to go with the sexy styling too."

B.)Noche Latina Dance Co: Teaching Advanced Beginner Salsa at the event this Saturday!
(Website: http://www.nldcsalsa.com/)

Noche Latina Director Hedwidge Louis is probably one of the most down-to-earth, friendly, and sincere instructors in the city. His lessons were one of the most popular lessons at Mambos Salsa Club. He has been teaching for years and has a vast background in many different dances.

In addition to teaching group lessons and private lessons, Hedwidge also runs Salsa Tuesdays at Ryles in Inman Square. A great night of dancing. He teaches a couple different lessons at Ryles every Tuesday before the floor opens to social dancing.

You can't help but love him from the moment you meet him.

C.)Rumba y Timbal Dance Co: Teaching Advanced Beginner Salsa at the Event this Saturday!
(Website: http://www.rumbaytimbal.com/)

As if we had to introduce Rumba y Timbal and Director Roberto Figueroa. Roberto and his dance company have been the most supportive of MIT Salsa Club from day one. You've probably seen at least one of RyT's performances over the years at previous MIT Salsa Socials (and you will see THREE performances by them this Saturday!!!!)

Roberto and his team perform nationally and internationally. And his lessons are very very good for students that wish to refine their dancing and become extremely competent on the dance floor. And the best thing for MIT Salsa Clubbers is that he teaches right in Central Square, at the YWCA, just down the street from MIT.
