Congratulations to Gabi Logan for answering last week's trivia and for making the guest list!

What a night of dancing last week! Boston Rueda taught a great lesson and introduced new people to the world of rueda. The "Rueda Room" worked! Check out this week's pictures and videos to see a video clip from their lesson (first video on the page) and of them dancing in the Rueda Room (video further down the page). They will be back!

This week, we've invited Leña Dance Co. back to the house. These guys were the first to perform at Mambos over a month ago (see 8/1/08 pics and videos for a clip from their performance). Slick, precise and original, Leña has moves that make your jaw drop. Come out for the fun lesson with them this Friday on Mambos second floor.

3.) Salsa Dancing for the Deaf

MetaMovements is excited to announce the addition of a new class in its’ fall line-up, Salsa and Latin for the Deaf. We have gotten a lot of positive feedback from the deaf community.

We are seeking to find a balance in the class with both hearing and deaf individuals, beginners and experienced salseros. As a result, we are seeking some experienced leaders to take the class.
Even if you already know the basics of salsa, there are a lot of additional benefits such as:

Become bilingual! Learn some sign language

Add some pizzazz! Learn how sign language can help with your styling

Tone deaf? Learn new ways to “feel the music”

Learn how to utilize other senses besides hearing in your dancing

Play a unique role in a unique class to make dancing more accessible for the deaf

Strengthen teaching skills

You can email Kerry at londongirl21 at hotmail.com or Anara at anara at metamovements.com.
