We've got some hardcore Providancers in the house this Friday, with Folu and Venu (Providence, RI) representing Noche Latina Dance Co. on Mambos 2nd floor. They will be sharing some of their cool moves from 9:30 to 10:30. This is their first lesson at Mambos, so come out and show your support for them and the Providence salsa scene! Free with admission.

On the first floor, MIT Salsa will be teaching an intro to salsa AND club-style cha cha dancing this week. If you've ever wanted to learn to dance cha cha, this is a great intro-level lesson. You'll learn how to hear the beat and you'll learn some sweet cha cha moves to spice up your dancing. MIT Salsa will also be teaching the basics of salsa dancing. No experience necessary for either lesson.

3.) FREE Event this Saturday!

Mambos was recently (only last week) invited to participate in a very interesting art project this Saturday. We've been called in by a lighting design team to help them in a very big art project that's "illuminating the city" this week. It's called Illuminale: http://www.illuminaleboston.com/

The design team is illuminating 10 different spots around the city with sustainable lighting in an effort to show how we can creatively illuminate city landmarks while at the same time being green.

Of the ten sites, Mambos was given the North Street Bridge site. They're installing a dancefloor in the middle of the bridge and lighting it up for Boston's salsa dancers. Mambos will be bringing a collaboration of salsa DJs together to "light up" the bridge in our own special way, under the stars and over the water...

This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC and everyone involved is contributing their efforts for free. Dancing begins at 6pm and goes till 11pm. All ages.
