This Week:
It doesn't get any better than this: this Friday, Mambos will be offering a special lesson on its second floor for all dancers to learn On2 salsa! If you've always wanted to learn how to hear "the 2" and to dance on time, this lesson is for you. Leña Dance Co. will be in the house to help you learn how to break on the 2nd beat, and by the end of the lesson...you just might get it. To get you started thinking about the rythym, click the YouTube link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DimToE_w4jk) and watch On2 master Eddie Torres break it down for you. And yes, you're allowed to laugh at how he looks...
On the first floor, MIT Salsa will be teaching an intro to salsa AND club-style cha cha dancing this week. These lessons are always fun for beginners and you'll learn enough in an hour to keep you dancing all night long! No partner or experience necessary.
All lessons begin at 9:30pm. Free with admission, no partner necessary.
