2.) Chris and Meagan are teaching at The Spot in
Providence, RI tonight!

Hi Everyone,

Tonight, Meagan and I are taking MIT Salsa down to
Providence, RI. We're scheduled to teach an advanced
lesson at a local salsa hot spot called...well, it's
literally called The Spot. We found out about this place
this past summer through a friend of ours named Manolo. He
organizes the event every week.

If you ever make it down to Providence and want to try out
a really nice salsa night in the heart of "Brown party
town", The Spot is the spot! First, the place is
absolutely beautiful inside. Second, he has a live salsa
band at his events. But the great thing about The Spot is
all the heart Manolo puts into his events. He does little
things that make all the difference, like personally
cooking Cuban food every week for his quests to eat, FREE
of charge. On top of that, everyone at his salsa nights is
down-to-earth, friendly and sociable. It's a great vibe.

If you can't make it down this time, try it some other
time(we know it's short notice). It's a great "salsa
escape" and it's less than an hour away!

Check Manolo's website for more details:

3.) The next Salsa Social is March 28th!

Great news! The next Salsa Social will be held in La Sala
on the 2nd floor of the Stratton Student Center. We have a
nice room with hardwood floors, so no aching legs the
morning after!

We also have a great new performance lined up. More
details soon...

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS: If you've ever wanted to "give back" to
MIT Salsa, we can use your help! Please email
salsaclub-exec at mit.edu for more details. You would only
need to help for 1/2 an hour - hour at these events.

6.) New Private Lesson Information!

Private lessons are a fun and affordable way to learn salsa
dancing quickly. Learning one-on-one with an instructor is
the fastest and easiest way to learn. Also, the private
lesson setting allows each dancer the opportunity to
adddress his or her own needs directly to a teacher.

Private lessons are available for solo dancers, for couples
and for groups of 4--all for the same price, no mattter how
many dancers participate. Lessons are currently available
for all levels of dancers, 7 days a week.

Currently taught at Dance Republic, a beautiful dance
studio in Allston.

Email salsaclub-exec at mit.edu for more details!

7.) GRUPO LATIN VIBE is playing at this year's Boston
Salsa Congress!

The Boston Salsa Congress just got 800 times hotter! Grupo
Latin Vibe, one of the best new salsa groups out there, is
playing at this year's event. Grupo Latin Vibe is an MIT
Salsa favorite. Not only do we play their highly danceable
music in our lessons, but they are also the theme music on
our Web site's splash page (http://web.mit.edu/salsaclub).

Still don't know who we're talking about??? Take a listen
to the song La Llave at this website:
