-*-* MIT Salsa Club's Weekly Update *-*-
1.) IMPORTANT information about our lessons. PLEASE READ:
Big Changes!
*First, Tuesday's Beginner Lesson will now be structured
differently. The first half hour of the lesson will ONLY
INTRODUCE the basic steps, the basic right turn and the
cross-body lead. So, from 7 PM to 7:30 PM, come to the
first half hour of the lesson to learn the basic steps of
salsa or to practice the basics if you've learned them and
still want more practice.
If you are already fairly comfortable with the basics and
do not need practice, please arrive to class at 7:30
promptly. Otherwise, you will be bored for a half hour.
>From 7:30 to 8:30, all dancers will be taught a new dance
combination. This is the time for beginner dancers that
already feel comfortable with the basics to arrive to
class. BUT make sure to be at class on time, since the
combination portion of the lesson will begin promptly at
7:30.
*Second, we are not planning to teach Intermediate Lessons
when lessons resume in September. Beginning in September,
only Beginner Lessons and Advanced Beginner Lessons will be
offered.
*HOWEVER, we are introducing a NEW concept to MIT Salsa
Club beginning in September. We will be offering a new
workshop, twice monthly, called the "Cool Moves Challenge."
This workshop will offer Advanced Beginner and
Intermediate dancers an hour and a half lesson to challenge
there salsa skills. We are still determining what day of
the week we will have these workshops, so stay tuned.
*And finally, all lessons will ALWAYS BE FREE to you and to
whomever you bring!
