-*-* MIT Salsa Club's Weekly Update *-*-
1.) January MITSC Lessons Announced!
Regular salsa lessons will begin again the first week of
February. In the meantime, MITSC is offering its fun IAP
workshop series beginning Tuesday, January 8th! All
lessons are from 7pm to 8:30pm followed by social dancing.
Here's the January lesson schedule (free to the public):
Tuesday, January 8: The Merengue Challenge!
Try to follow Chris and Meagan through a fun, loco,
convoluted merengue combination. For ALL LEVELS of
dancers!
Tuesday, January 15: Bachata!
Lesson begins with an introduction to the basics followed
by a fun combination. For ALL LEVELS of dancers!
Tuesday, January 22: Cha Cha Cha!
Lesson begins with an introduction to the basics followed
by a fun combination. For ALL LEVELS of dancers!
Tuesday, January 29: Ladies Spinning Technique!
Ladies have been asking for this lesson for a long time,
and it's finally here! Always wondered how to prep and
balance for multiple spins? Meagan will walk (or spin) you
through a spin technique workshop specially designed for
the ladies! For ALL LEVELS of lady dancers!
***Regular salsa lessons resume the first Monday of
February. Until then, NEW beginner and advanced beginner
salsa lessons will be taught all month at Wonder Bar, with
new hours of operation! Read below...
2.) Salsa Sundays @ Wonder Bar is Making New Year's
Resolutions!
Thanks for all of your support since the grand opening in
November!
Beginning December 30th, Salsa Sundays will have a new
weekly format! First, the hours of operation are changing.
Salsa Sundays will now be open from 7pm to 12am+! An hour
earlier.
Second, from 7-8pm, there will be 2 complimentary
salsa lessons every Sunday with the price of admission: a
Beginners Lesson and a (NEW) Advanced Beginner Lesson, with
all new moves taught every week! The moves will also be
recorded and posted at www.mambosentertainment.com.
And, lastly, Salsa Sundays has an awesome DJ line-up
beginning December 30th with DJ Martinez! In the weeks
following, DJ Hernan, DJ el Turco, Dj Murat and DJ Z will
be spinning throughout January.
So come out for some cool new moves and new sounds @ Salsa
Sundays!

5.) Care to Tango???
This is a note we got this week from our friends in the
Tango Club:
"I would like to ask for your help on forming a group to
attend a dance show in Boston. A very famous tango company
will be in Boston for a weekend in January and we managed
to secure a 20% discount for the opening night show. We
have $44-tickets (originally $55), $48 tickets(originally
