[Reporting-announce] IS&T Third Thursday: Tableau Prep

Hello All,

Our next Third Thursday class will be on December 19th. We’ll take a look at the Tableau Prep tool. This tool is designed to allow you to build out your data to be used in Tableau. You do this by connecting to various data sources, cleaning your data, and merging data from separate sources. Some of the things we’ll cover are:


  *   Connect and pull data from an Excel sheet
  *   Connect and pull data from the Data Warehouse
  *   Clean your data
  *   Join the two data sources
  *   Output the file
  *   Connect your data source to Tableau
