Dear Douglas and all,
It's a very good news. Having passed so many difficulties in the data
analysis the first, though preliminary. results are obtained due to
efforts of a group of active young physicists. Congratulations! I hope
the results will appear soon on OLYMPUS wiki.
As for author list, I suggest to indicate the people whose efforts to
the data analysis were most essential as CONTACT PERSONS. i find this
would be a better and more direct recognition of those who were
active in the publication. Besides, this would allow us to keep a
standard alphabetical order of names in the author list as routinely
accepted in most of collaborations. This, however, is an issue to
discuss among the OLYMPUS collaboration.
I find the PNPI group correctly presented in the author list.
With best regards, Stan.

This includes 12 degree luminosity, SYMB luminosity, tracking and Monte Carlo related to a new release of tracked files, and various analyses of the new data and MC to determine the e+p / e-p cross section ratio. These presentations are all leading up to the public presentations at the PRC (22/10/2015), DNP (28-31/10/2015), and EINN (1-7/11/2015).

Therefore, even though we will be showing the results in the meetings and on the web pages, the results MUST NOT be shown outside the collaboration until they are approved by the collaboration and after Janâs talk.

The preliminary result will not be presented during the the open session as we do not feel that is a suitable venue for releasing the first results. There will be a rehearsal of Laurenâs presentation for the open session during the meeting on Monday 19/10/2015. If the collaboration agrees Uwe and I may show the results in the closed session but with the understanding that the slides are not public.
