[Olympus] Ratio plots

Dear Colleagues,

Today, during the monthly meeting, Brian showed a first look at the e+p / e-p ratio based on approximately 20 % of the OLYMPUS data. The results, as shown, look very nice and are quite reasonable. However, there are still a lot of checks and studies to be made. We are still working on this and hope to add more data to the analysis.

Because we still expect small changes / improvements to be made; the ratio plots shown today are NOT available on the Wiki. As discussed previously we will release a single, preliminary result. That preliminary result will be finalized later this week. We have scheduled a meeting for Thursday, 09:30 EST / 15:30 CET when the collaboration can give its approval for the release of this first, preliminary result. This approved, preliminary result will be shown to the PRC on Monday and will be generally available for other meetings, seminars, conferences, etc. No other ratio results should be made public outside the collaboration.

After this week the tracking will again be blinded and work will continue to work on improving the analysis and extend it to all the data. We expect the next release of a final result using all the available data to be around the end of October.

I hope everyone can attend Thursday meeting and/or view the result posted after that meeting. I would also ask the group leaders to approve the ratio plots for public release.

                                                    Cheers,
                                                            Douglas
