Dear OLYMPUS colleagues,
As you perhaps already know, Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute
(PNPI) and OLYMPUS collaboration are organizing a symposium on
"Experimental and theoretical aspects of the proton form factors", to be
held from July 9-13, 2012 in St. Petersburg, Russia. This symposium is
a follow-up on the "Workshop on Radiative Corrections in
Electron-proton and Positron-Proton Scattering", held at MIT on July 30,
2011.The idea is to bring experimentalists involved in proton form
factor measurements and theorists together in order to discuss
various theoretical and experimental aspects of the proton form
factors, like multi-photon processes in elastic ep scattering. In
particular important is to quantify the two-photon exchange correction
and to try to constrain it from the current and future experiments.
The Symposium offers a good opportunity for exchanging
information on experimental details, Monte Carlo analyses, evaluation
of systematic uncertainties, etc.
For a more detailed information please visit the Symposium site

On behalf of the Program Committee I would like to invite you for
participation in the Symposium.
It is planned that the symposium will take place in the PNPI (Gatchina)
from 9 to 13 July with one full day for excursion. Given the fact that
there will be intensive apparatus tests at DORIS in July you may
reduce your visit to SPB to one or two days. In such cases your
Symposium fee will be reconsidered correspondingly.
We are planning to organize EVO session at the symposium. If you would
like to present an EVO talk you need not fill in registration form.
Contact please directly to Yuri Naryshkin <naryshk at mail.desy.de>
indicating the title of your talk and requested time quota.
If you decided to come to St.Petersburg do not postpone please your
registration and the visa application process.Take a notice please
that there is a peak of touristic activity in July in St.Petersburg
because of excellent weather and white nights.
The corresponding instructions for visa processing can be found on
the Symposium website.
I am looking forward to seeing you in St. Petersburg in the second week
of July, 2012.
With best regards, Stan Belostotski
