Dear collegues,
I could make clear that you urgently need the beam time on friday/saturday and W.Drube for Hasylab agreed that we start with 4.5 GeV on Sunday Morning.
Therefore you have the beam time from friday to saturday noon. Afterwards the machines are switched off for the "night of knowledge in Hamburg".

Have a nice weekend
Frank

Subject: [Olympus] Beam schedule for October service week

Dear colleagues,

Frank Brinker and I agreed on the beam schedule for the October service week from the 24th to the 29th as follows:
Monday: Access from 8 am to 6 pm. Afterwards 2 GeV beam over night
Tuesday: 2 GeV beam and accesses if needed
Wednesday: DORIS switch off at 7 am. Access for Olympus
Thursday: Machine off. Access for Olympus
Friday: Starting up of the pre-accelerators in morning. 2 GeV beam expected around noon.

Frank is going to clarify with Hasylab people whether we could have the beam from Friday noon till Saturday noon, when the open day at DESY takes places. This would give us another 24h beam.

I think this schedule seems to be reasonable for the jobs we have to accomplish. We have to make sure we have some people also for the night shifts.

Cheers,

Alexander
