Dear Colleagues,

I just want to highlight some important points from the collaboration meeting which ended today.

1. We will extend the tenure of Richard and Reinhard as spokesman and deputy spokesman for 6 months until June-July, 2011. At that time we would like to elect two new persons who can hopefully spend a significant (+50%) amount of time at DESY. Please think of people you would like to nominate before the summer.

2. The next collaboration meeting will be at DESY Tuesday-Wednesday, 26-27 April. This is immediately after Easter and just before the PAC meeting at DESY.

3. We will have test runs with the DORIS ring using the detectors recently installed on the following dates: 17-24 February, 14-15 April, 2-3 June. The plan is to operate the hydrogen target with the DORIS beam to study: background rates, target distribution, running at 2 GeV, systematics between electrons and positrons, data acquisition, etc. People interested in getting involved are encourage to contact Alexander Winnebeck.

4. Frank Brinker showed encouraging studies indicating we might be able to run OLYMPUS at 2 GeV. There is also a scheme to compare the beam energy for both electrons and positrons.

5. There is a radiative corrections workshop after the PANIC conference at MIT to begin understanding the corrections involved in two photon exchange.

6. Work on the detectors and in the hall is progressing well. Still need to keep the pressure on to ensure we meet the deadlines and install OLYMPUS into the ring in July.

                                                    Cheers,
                                                            Douglas
