At least not in the current version. There are discussions about file
transfer (sshfs is based on sftp) and similar features.

To have automatic reconnect with SSH you can use AutoSSH
(http://www.harding.motd.ca/autossh/, also available in many
distributions). I though can't remember to get it working with sshfs.
Works fine with port forwarding though.
