12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
The effective vibrationalurface enhanced Raman spectroscopy can be exploited for a variety of biomedic A SERS based platform that can provide rapid, bacterial diagnostics (e.g. UTI, STD), and distinguish pathogenic and nonpathogenic tumor, cells based on the unique characteristic mixture of extracellular metabolites will be described. Thus SERS can be developed as a new tool for systems biology investigations. Other biomedical applications afforded by this SERS approach include blood aging, early malaria detection and trace body fluid identification for forensics purposes
