Lester Wolfe Workshop in Laser Biomedicine 

“Optics for the developing world:  Point-of-Care low cost diagnostics”


  The wide availability of modern technology including iPhones and similar powerful devices has provided a platform for inexpensive point-of care diagnostics that may benefit the developing world.  This workshop will highlight some contributions of biomedical optics  to these applications
