Good afternoon,

MIT Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to introduce support for Apple's Volume Purchasing Program (VPP) for iOS apps. VPP enables participating departments, labs and centers (DLCs) to purchase iOS apps tax-free and at a 50% discount (for orders of 20 apps or more). These apps are distributed in the iTunes App Store for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Please note that this program excludes Mac App Store applications at this time.

To participate in the volume iOS app-ordering process, a DLC must designate an individual to act as its program facilitator. The program facilitator will be able to order apps requested by end users in that DLC and distribute one-time redemption codes for them. For more information on the program, visit Apple's VPP website at http://www.apple.com/education/volume-purchase-program/.

To see whether your DLC is participating in the VPP for iOS apps, or to request your DLC's participation, visit the VPP page on the IS&T Software Grid at http://ist.mit.edu/iosapps/vpp.

If you have questions about this program, please send email to software-distribution at mit.edu<mailto:software-distribution at mit.edu>.

Thanks,
~ Justin
