Hello Friends of MIT World

Go to http://mitworld.mit.edu to see the newest additions to the MIT World.

The MIT Office of the Arts presents

Margaret Atwood

"Oryx and Crake Revealed"

This lively talk by Margaret Atwood is by far one of the funnier
events on MIT World. She reads from her most recent novel, Oryx and
Crake, and also tells a long and winding and amusing story about her
early efforts to get published.

The Massachusetts Space Grant Consortium presents

Riccardo Giacconi
Research Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy,
The Johns Hopkins University
2002 Nobel Prize in Physics

"Progress in the Study of the X-Ray Background"

Dr. Giacconi discusses the challenges in x-ray astronomy and the
quest for improved instrumentation.

With the addition of Dr. Giacconi's talk, there are now videos from
16 Nobel Laureates on MIT World.
Thanks to all of the hosts of these events for providing them to MIT World.
