authors at MIT presents

William J. Mitchell

"Me++ The Cyborg Self and the Networked City"

Bill Mitchell discusses how digital technologies are transforming the
fabric of everyday life, from smart devices that seem to know
everything about us, and hand held objects that are always "in danger
of being put down for something else". Me++ takes on a wide range of
networking implications, as its third chapter, Wireless Bipeds
concludes, "I am part of the networks, and the networks are a part of
me. I show up in directories. I am visible to Google. I link,
therefore I am".

This is the 3rd talk from William Mitchell on MIT World. To see the
others, search on "Mitchell" in the video finder. This is also the
13th authors at MIT talk on MIT World. To see the others go to the host
section of the video finder and select "authors at MIT".
