Hello Friends of MIT World
http://mitworld.mit.edu
With two new lectures from MIT World we present a look at the past
and a glimpse into the future.
The Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics presents the
2003 Gardner Lecture
Dr. Harrison H. "Jack" Schmitt
"Trip to the Moon and the Legacy of Apollo"
In this first lecture from "Aero/Astro" on MIT World, Apollo
astronaut Harrison Schmitt gives a first person account of what it
was like to walk on the moon and discusses moon rocks from a
geologist's point of view. Early in the presentation he shows a
"must-see" film summarizing the mission and provides live narration
of his famous walk and rock gathering efforts, all with thirty years'
worth of perspective.
