MIT GIS Services summer hours have begun!

May 16th - May 30th: by appointment (email gishelp at mit.edu<mailto:gishelp at mit.edu>)
May 31st - September 2nd: Monday - Friday: 2-3pm and by appointment

Working off campus for the summer? Here are some tips:

- If you will not have an internet connection (or have an unreliable one), check out an ArcGIS license<http://libguides.mit.edu/c.php?g=176295&p=1161400#s-lg-box-wrapper-4119359> before you leave campus.

- For basic GIS work, you may want to try using QGIS<http://www.qgis.org/en/site/>, a free, open-sourced GIS application.

- If you will be collecting data, check out a GPS unit<http://libguides.mit.edu/c.php?g=176295&p=1161401>.

- Email gishelp at mit.edu<mailto:gishelp at mit.edu> if you have questions while you are away. We can set up remote help sessions as needed.
