GIS Help Hours:

- On Friday, April 8th, help hours will be held from 3-4:30pm.

- There will be no help hours on 4/18, 4/28, or 4/29.

- Spring semester help hours end on Thursday, May 13th.

Learn GIS:

- If you already know the basics of GIS, but want to learn how to automate tasks using Python, sign up for our 2-session workshop<http://libcal.mit.edu/event/2518569> on 4/21 and 4/22.

- Look at this recent blog post<http://www.50northspatial.org/oglyad-beskoshtovnyh-onlajn-kursiv-z-gis-2016-roku/> that lists free, online GIS courses.

- To learn ArcGIS, ESRI offers many online courses<http://training.esri.com/gateway/index.cfm?fa=search.results&cannedsearch=1>. Members of the MIT community have access to all web courses (not instructor-led). If the course costs money, email gishelp at mit.edu<mailto:gishelp at mit.edu> and let us know what course you would like to take. We'll send you a code so you can access it for free.

- Look at our previous workshops<http://libguides.mit.edu/gis/previousgisworkshops> or our NEW OCW GIS tutorial page<http://ocw.mit.edu/resources/res-str-001-geographic-information-system-gis-tutorial-january-iap-2016/index.htm>.

- Our tutorials page<http://libguides.mit.edu/c.php?g=176295&p=1161396> includes written or video tutorials for common tasks, such as geocoding<http://libguides.mit.edu/ld.php?content_id=8586639> or making a basic map<http://libguides.mit.edu/ld.php?content_id=13276810>.

If you need more help, email gishelp at mit.edu<mailto:gishelp at mit.edu> or stop by our open help hours (Mon-Thurs: 1-4pm, Fri: 2-4pm).
