Help Hours Update:
No GIS help hours this week because of Spring break. Email your questions to gishelp at mit.edu<mailto:gishelp at mit.edu> or set-up an appointment. Regular GIS help hours (Mon-Thurs 1pm-5pm, Fri 2pm-4pm) resume next week.

Upcoming Workshop:
Make a Map in Minutes<http://libcal.mit.edu/event.php?id=940489>, Tuesday, 4/28, 12:30pm-2pm
Learn how to make a basic, digital map that you can include in publications, papers, or host on a website. We'll discuss a variety of tools for creating maps, such as CartoDB and ArcGIS Online, and then you will have a chance to use the tools on your own.

Data Spotlight:
Natural Earth<http://www.naturalearthdata.com/downloads/>
Natural Earth is a resource for making custom maps. Data include administrative boundaries, parks and protected areas, populated places, hydrology, and bathymetry in vector format. There is also raster data for land cover, shaded relief, ocean water, and drainages with lakes.
