Hi,
Because of spring break, there will be no open help hours in the GIS lab next week. However, the GIS staff will be around, so email gishelp at mit.edu<mailto:gishelp at mit.edu> to schedule an appointment.
Looking for population data for the world? MIT students, faculty and staff have access to LandScan world population data from 2000 to the present (currently 2012). You can access the data online on the MIT network<http://wms.cartographic.com/landscan/portal.aspx> and read more about it here<http://web.ornl.gov/sci/landscan/landscan_documentation.shtml>.
If you are looking for more census and demographic data, browse the resources on our guide<http://libguides.mit.edu/census> to find data from around the world.
Cheers,
Jennie
