Hi,

Summer GIS help hours begin this week. They are from 2-3pm, Mon-Fri and will run until the end of August. Stop by the GIS lab in Rotch library during that time for help - no appointment necessary. If you cannot make the help hours, email us<mailto:gishelp at mit.edu> your question or set up an appointment at another time.

The new GeoWeb is here! Check out our new interface<https://arrowsmith.mit.edu/mitogp/>. It includes a simpler search, faceted browsing (more facets coming in the future), and information about our CDs/DVDs in the GIS lab, making it easier to search for all our geographic data in one place.

2011 ward data for 20+ cities in India<https://arrowsmith.mit.edu/mitogp#qs=0&q=india%20ward%202011&in=MIT&dt=Polygon> has been loaded into Geoweb. The shape files include the ward boundaries and basic census data. The data is restricted to members of the MIT community, so you must sign in using your MIT Certificate or touchstone account to view the data.

Cheers,

Jennie
