If you will be away from campus over the summer and need to use ArcMap, you can checkout a license for up to 90 days so you can use ArcMap offline.

Here's how to do it:
1. Navigate to Start>All Programs>ArcGIS>ArcGIS Administrator
2. Under the Desktop folder on the left side of the window, point to Borrow/Return.
3. Check the licenses you will be using. Make sure to check Desktop Advanced if you are using ArcGIS 10.1 or ArcInfo Desktop if you are using ArcGIS 10.0.
4. Click Apply. It may take a few minutes to borrow the license.
5. When you are back on the MIT Network, return to this page, uncheck everything, and click Apply.
You can find out more information about using ArcGIS and other GIS software out our web page:

Have a great summer!
