[mitgis] GIS help over spring break and a new workshop

Hi,

Even though we still have snow on the ground, Spring Break has arrived! There will be no open help hours in the GIS lab next week (3/25-3/29), however we will still provide assistance via email and by appointment. Email gishelp at mit.edu<mailto:gishelp at mit.edu> with questions or to schedule an appointment.

Will you be collecting data over the summer or perhaps just doing some backpacking? A GPS unit could help with both of these things. Come to our workshop on April 30th and learn how to collect data using a GPS unit and download it to ArcMap. GPS units can be checked out from the Rotch Library circulation desk for 1 week or for longer by emailing gishelp at mit.edu<mailto:gishelp at mit.edu>.
