The war in Congo has been going on since 1998. The war uses young children
called whistle blowers, who are too young to hold a gun. They are put out in
the front lines of war with a whistle instead. Their role is to blow the
whistle to cause the opposing army to shoot them, so that the army gives
away their position. Falling Whistles is a youth-led nonprofit that works to
stop this atrocity. They will be speaking about the current situation in
Congo and their work.
