This talk is hosted by the Association for India's Development - MIT &
Boston chapters <http://aidboston.org/>
Please join us for a discussion on the Human Rights concerns of women in
prostitution and Vimochana's work in this field. This talk aims to provide
an insight into the into these issues at the grassroots level. We will also
highlight recent work by Vimochana such as the *India Court of Women on
Dowry and Related Forms of Violence against Women, and doll exhibition*. You

*About the Speaker:*
Ms Shakun Mohini has been a core group member of Vimochana since 1979 and
joined as a full time member of the Collective since 2000. Her background is
in management, and she worked as a Senior Manager in a Bank till 2000 even
as she continued to work with Vimochana. Her involvement in Vimochana has
been focused on supporting work with women working in sectors such as
domestic workers and workers in garment industry, apart from her work with
women in street prostitution.
