Wow, aren't you lucky it's IAP so you can go to all these cool lectures? Here's
another, sponsored by MIT Hillel:
A Lecture with Leonard Fein
Thursday, January 31, 5:00 PM. Room 4-149
Come this Thursday evening to hear MIT's past professor of political science
and urban planning, Leonard Fein, give a lecture on world hunger, the
systematic problems involved in solving hunger, and the organization (Mazon,
a Jewish Response to Hunger) which he founded to start combatting hunger.
Mr. Fein has written several books, and has published more than 900 articles
and essays in magazines and newspapers such as the *New York Times, The New
Yorker, The New Republic, Commentary,* and the *The Nation*. He has been
invited to testify before a number of Congressional committees. (Basically, he's
a big deal, and you should go.)
Refreshments, as usual, will be served.
Hope to see everyone there! If you can't make it, don't feel bad - you can
always go to Pakistan: Forever in the Eye of the Storm at 7:30 in 6-120, or you
could go to BOTH!

Hi, Karen.
I hope that all's well in your corner of the world.
A good friend of mine, Matt Fisher ([1]mlfisher at mit.edu), is
organizing an event on world hunger. Would you mind forwarding the
below blurb to MITAI?
Thanks for your help!
Yours,
Ali
