[Mitai-announce] Darfur update

Hi all,

I received word from the MIT News office that the MIT Executive 
Committee met this Friday and decided they need more time to evaluate 
their response to the situation in Darfur. Therefore, we will be waiting 
as long as 3 months until they reconvene again (this is in addition to 
the 8 months the ACSR took to submit their recommendations-which are 
secret by the way).

A bunch of us are meeting 12pm tomorrow (Tuesday) in lobby 7 (the big 
open area at the enterance of 77 Massachusetts ave) so we can walk 
together to both the President's and MIT Corporation's office to convey 
to them our frustration with this decision.
