Hello fellow postdocs,
“If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old; if it is completely flexible at 60, you are young.” (quote from Joseph Pilates)
Long hours at the desk, in the lab, or hunched over a manuscript can take a toll on our spines. This month let’s give our spine some care. Join us for a relaxing after-work yoga session built around the theme of Yoga for a Healthy Spine.
📅 Date: Monday, September 28
🕕 Time: 6:00–7:00 PM
📍 Location: Building 68-181 (the Koch Biology Building, located at 31 Ames Street, Cambridge, MA 02142).
What to expect:
🌬️ 10 minutes of introduction and breathwork
🌿 35 minutes of gentle warm-ups and asana practice for spinal mobility and strength
😴 10 minutes of cooling down and short meditation
Please bring your own yoga mat if possible. We’ll have a limited number of extra mats available, and participation may depend on mat availability.
After the session, stay and enjoy some light refreshments and good company!
Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or trying yoga for the first time, everyone is welcome. Please fill out the registration form by Friday, September 25 if you’d like to join, so we know how many mats to bring: https://forms.gle/Bx8zxcArqTPWdHnV7
We look forward to seeing you there!
