Postdoc Live Music Event - Feather Weather at Satellite Brewery - Wednesday, Sep 30, 7pm-10pm

[Jacob Hoffman]

Hello fellow postdocs!
First, thanks so much to everyone who responded to the community building survery<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeoDGeddTJ9zsS6IcjVbsl_wuZlVG5X4TvifS2SShjaL4VbKA/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=103013344294345737105>! Your answers were informative (we are definitely NOT doing a talent show), and we really appreciated your responses. For those of you interested in the results, I dropped the responses spreadsheet into Claude and present here, with zero oversight, whatever it decided to graph<https://claude.ai/artifact/VvkneszBsj8Js7PCqiAa3N>. Is this best practice for AI enabled data presentation? Certainly not, but it’s about as much effort as you’re going to get for a community survey.
Finally, we wanted to announce our first ticketed event of the year:
Feather Weather<https://open.spotify.com/artist/3ihC0LC0TIi46L3UAp60WV?si=H54-QecjTIGuPjJg7CxFmg> at Satellite Brewery<https://maps.app.goo.gl/U2gh9AdrPZdZVBFJ6> - Wednesday, Sep 30, 7pm-10pm
Feather Weather is a Cambridge based band (some of whom are scientists!) that has graciously agreed to play music for us. They released their first EP<https://open.spotify.com/album/60P9Xvk4Q3MgnUtef01Zet?si=l0ATDtPHQm-B9nXmGw0CNA> in August, and it's honestly worth a listen.
Tickets will be $7.50 (buy them here<https://buytickets.at/mit2/2377314> or at the below QR code) and include admission and light bites: soft pretzels, hand cut fries and empanadas; First come first served. We are not permitted to pay for your alcohol (and plenty of us don’t drink), so that’s on you. Reminder: We do not offer refunds but you can check the #ticket-exchange slack channel if you need to swap out with someone else. Max capacity is 75.
Looking forward to rocking out with all of you!

Love,
Your new community building co-Chair
