MIT GrandHack 2026

Do you want to work on real healthcare problems alongside clinicians, engineers, designers, and entrepreneurs, and turn ideas into real solutions?

MIT GrandHack 2026 is a large, in-person healthcare hackathon taking place March 13–15 at the MIT Media Lab (Cambridge, MA). Over one intensive weekend, interdisciplinary teams form on site and tackle pressing healthcare challenges through collaboration, design, and rapid prototyping — supported by mentors and domain experts throughout the event.

Participants apply individually (no pre-formed teams required), and people from all backgrounds with an interest in healthcare innovation are encouraged to apply. 2026 Tracks are (1) Trauma & Rehabilitation, (2) Virtual Diagnostic Interfaces, and (3) Portable Health.

BeyondHack 2026: For Teams Continuing Their Venture

Teams that have previously participated in an MIT Hacking Medicine hackathon may also apply to BeyondHack 2026, a selective, month-long accelerator designed for ventures pursuing their startup full-time.

BeyondHack offers:

  *   1:1 mentorship with VC associates, technical mentors, and the Boston startup ecosystem

  *   Speaker sessions with experienced founders, venture capital firms, and banks

  *   Pitch opportunities in front of investors

Programming runs from Feb 9 – Mar 7 and culminates in a pitch competition during GrandHack. Teams apply once per venture (not individually).
