[PDA Sports] Join us for candlepin bowling

Hello MIT Postdocs!


As the new semester begins and we stay persistently under a layer of what feels like permafrost, the PDA would like to facilitate a uniquely New England indoor sporting event - candlepin bowling. Join us on Sunday, February 15th, from 2:15 - 4:30pm at Sacco's Bowl Haven<https://share.google/LlRg6svgp461feFLz> / American Flatbread<https://share.google/K4V78PqbBKQjGFwIO> in Somerville for indoor bowling action. Here are a few things to know:

  *   Sacco's Bowl Haven is located at: 45 Day St, Somerville, MA 02144. This is a 3 minute (0.1 mile, 0.16km) walk from the Davis red line station.

  *   Sacco's and American Flatbread are physically connected, so you'll be in the right place either way

  *   The PDA will cover the cost of bowling and shoe rental!

  *   Food/Drinks are available for purchase, on your dime (it's real tasty, highly recommend)

  *   We have 25 bowler slots. People will be selected randomly after sign ups end on February 11th. If selected, you will be sent, and asked to complete a confirmation form by the end of the day on February 13th. Those who do not complete the confirmation by then will release their spot to the waiting list. Those on the waitlist will be notified of spots that become available on the evening of the 14th, with sign ups following a first-come-first-served basis (just to ensure we get all positions filled) in a timely way.
