Hello Postdocs,

MIT is one of the few universities offering a supplemental 401(k) to Postdoctoral Associates, with a 5% matching contribution that is immediately vested. Think of this as essentially free money.

The MIT Postdoc Association is hosting Andie Lei Wang, Retirement Plans Manager at MIT Benefits, to explain how benefits-eligible postdoctoral associates can make the most of this opportunity.

Join the session to learn:

  * How to open and contribute to your 401(k)
  * How your retirement savings are invested
  * The advantages of tax-deferred contributions
  * What happens to your savings when you leave MIT or the country
  * Insights into securing your financial future!

NOTE: Burrito and refreshments will only be provided for those who RSVP and attend in-person.

Date & Time: June 18th, 12.30 – 1.30 pm

Location: Building 68, room 181

Registration: RSVP here<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1eJbeQjXxil3ffEGTfHkrUVJioGyHzD0nEUMnfWH_vmA/edit>
