MIT PDA August General Meeting & Lawn Game Party

Please join our general meeting to welcome new PDA officers and hear updates from the PDA!

Tuesday, August 27th, 4:00pm-5:00pm.
In person (E25-140) and on Zoom (https://mit.zoom.us/j/99196631871)

In addition, after the general meeting, please join us for a lawn game party to celebrate the conclusion of summer and the exciting start of a new semester. We'll have an array of refreshments, including everyone's favorite—pizza! Engage in friendly competitions with lawn games and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. It's the perfect opportunity to reconnect with fellow postdocs, get to know the PDA officers representing you in the coming year, make new connections, and kickstart the upcoming semester on a positive note.

We will gather on August 27th, 2024, at 5:00 PM on the lawn outside Building E25 (see attached map for directions).

Kindly RSVP by August 26, 2024, using the following link to gauge the number of pizzas required! https://forms.gle/mG4x2UCktyfP7MoA8. In case of rain, the event will sadly be canceled.

Update on MIT PDA meeting with VPR
The PDA has strived to make it more transparent for the communication processes among PDA, the Vice President of Research, and the postdocs. Please check the slides the PDA used to advocate for the relevant issues concerning MIT postdocs. The meeting in August also includes the analysis of the survey conducted at the end of July regarding visa sponsorship duration and housing. If you participated in the survey, please check it out. The links can be found here, https://pda.mit.edu/meeting-with-vpr/
